i'm sorry i'm not the best blogger these days. this week is just cursed by the garden eels, which is a dorm-4 way of saying it sucks. i would explain the origin of the garden eels reference, but you probably wouldn't understand and it probably would sound ridiculous.
so a lot of the girls here like to complain about their bodies. they talk about how fat they are and how their thighs are so big and how they can't wait to go home and diet. after about the 4324 time i had to hear a girl bring up her negative body image, i've been telling the girls to shut up. look girls, no one has the perfect body. not me, not you, not gisele bundchen. embrace your body. it is beautiful. you have a functioning body with two arms and two legs and most importantly, the ability to produce life. be happy Heavenly Father gave you a body, even if you have a little bit of jiggle. and if that little bit of jiggle keeps you up at night, then be proactive about it. your complaining is not doing anybody any good. get the pun? anyBODY. funny right?
that being said, remember when my skin was this color?
those were the days.
i can't wait to get some summer sun on this body of mine. porcelain white is just not my look, and piling on the bronzer can only take a girl so far.
anyway, i sure do miss this handsome man of mine:
21 days and counting.
i've been able to embrace the fact that my grades this semester are going to be not so hot. i did have a panic attack for about a 36 hour period, but i've since gotten over it. my gpa will drop a little, and it's okay. i'm still going to get into my program, i'm still going to graduate, i'm still going to have the career of my dreams, even if i do get a 3.0 in london.
i'm slowly but surely learning to go with the flow in my life. life is giving me sucky grades, hey, i'm going with it.

Glad to hear you have lightened up on yourself--no pun intended for the lack of sun. GPA's do not make you a person, or keep you from being who you are.
