i'm slightly disappointed that out of the eight people that truly make me happy in life, six of them are blood related, one is currently at water polo camp for five days, one is cranky because she is deprived of her sixteen essential daily vitamins, one of them is headed to bolivia tomorrow for two years, and the other lives twenty-two miles and twenty-five minutes away.

it's my mother's birthday today and she is forty-six years young. she is just perfect.
