yesterday was not the greatest day in london, but i'm sure today will be better.
i got an email from efy saying that basically it was impossible for me to a counselor this summer because they can't interview me over the phone. which is such a bummer. and i don't know that byu's deal is, but they are just so sassy:
"There are literally thousands of people wanting to work these sessions and it would be impossible for us to meet with all that are in your situation on a one on one basis (all of our Counselor interviews are held in groups so it takes more time for our administrator to interview over the phone than it would if you could be here). We’re sorry if this comes as a disappointment."
way to shatter my dreams, efy. sorry for trying to do a nice thing and inspire the youth of our church with my sweet spirit.
anyway, i had two classes yesterday. mythology and my honors shakespeare class. don't even worry, because apparently all our professors want us to do here is sit in our dorm and read dickens and shakespeare. and that's exactly what i did yesterday. didn't leave our flat until after dinner, when we ventured to get ben's cookies at a pick-me-up for all of the reading we had done that day. but of course, we missed it by 10 minutes and ben's cookies closed. and then we got on the wrong train.
somedays you just can't win i guess.
but today.
today will be better. i am sure.

okay mom how about you try reading 50 pages of dickens and 20 pages of shakespeare PER NIGHT while visiting one of the most beautiful cities in the world?
I'd fall asleep reading that stuff in ANY city..great sleep aid though. Wishing you lots of luck!
